Founded in 1967 and present in more than 30 countries, Lusavouga is a supplier of reference for all kind of equipments for metalworking, fixing systems, chemical products for construction and industry, power tools, welding equipments and consumables, cutting tools, individual protective equipment, hand tools, compressed air equipments, oils and lubricants, vacuum and cleaning equipments, stockage and logistics systems and equipment for the workshops.

Management principles based on discipline; investments in advanced technology, high quality products and outstanding human resources, are the main characteristics of one of the biggest Industrial Hardware and Tools company in the Iberian Peninsula is owned by 100% of national capital.

Establisment of LUSAVOUGA - Máquinas e Ferramentas, Lda.

1967
1976

Acquisition of the company by Marques dos Santos family.

Facilities moving to a larger area (about 2000 m2).

1985
1992

Building of a new unit with 3500m2, creating better infrastructure for stocking and storage.

Start of the export transactions.

1995
1996

SME Excellence Award by IAPMEI prize that has been kept until today.

Change of the legal form of the company, being renamed as LUSAVOUGA - Máquinas e Acessórios Industriais, S.A.
Conclusion of the quality certification process.

Facilities extension for a total of approximately 8500m2.

Transition of the implemented Quality Assurance System to EN ISO 9001: 2000.

Acquisition and implementation of the ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, allowing a more efficient and effective business management.

Start building of the Distribution Centre, MSGROUP-MARQUES DOS SANTOS.

Opening of the MSGROUP-MARQUES DOS SANTOS distribution centre.

Total storage area aproximately 80.000 m3.

Set-up of the Spanish Branch: LUSAVOUGA ESPAÑA.

Inauguration of the Maputo branch (Mozambique).

Inauguration of the Sintra branch (Portugal).

Start of the second picking shift operation, allowing an enhance in the quality delivery service: our warehouse operates 16h/day, 5 days/week.

 

Inauguration of the Águeda branch (Portugal).

Inauguration of the Algarve branch (Portugal).

Acquisition of 50% of Live4Digital company - Digital Marketing Agency.

Our Quality Policy is based on a sustained growth, in innovative and high quality products, carefully selected suppliers, a young and motivated team and in strict management principles.

Our companies, with a relevant international presence, have been in constant expansion since its foundation in 1967.

The “family company” has grown into a successful multinational group with interests in 13 societies and is present in 3 distinct geographical zones.

With a wide range of products, based on the industrial assembly technique and metalworking equipments, we provide all types of customers in the various industrial activities, such as, metallurgy, construction, installation, maintenance, car repair and even craftsmen.

Our goals are ambitious and our Quality Strategy and Policy are based on the following vectors:
